How to watch Kansas State vs. Texas Tech: Preview, TV time, odds and more

Can the Red Raiders get back in the win column?

Texas Tech tries to get back on the winning track as it hosts feisty Kansas State Saturday afternoon. Television coverage begins at noon ET on ABC.

The Red Raiders opened with seven straight wins, earning a top-10 ranking as one of the big surprises of the college football season. None of those wins look too great retrospectively -- the only team ranked at the time was TCU, which is now 3-6 with a 1-5 conference record. Texas Tech fell to earth in the past two weeks, losing to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Kansas State opened the year with a 24-21 loss to North Dakota State, but won its other two non-conference games. The Wildcats lost their first three Big 12 games -- at Texas, at Oklahoma State and against Baylor -- before rebounding with conference wins over West Virginia and Iowa State.

The numbers

Rankings and records: Texas Tech is ranked No. 25 in the BCS. Texas Tech is 7-2, with a 4-2 record in the Big 12, while Kansas State is 4-4, with a 2-3 conference record. The Red Raiders are fifth in the conference, while the Wildcats are sixth. Texas Tech leads the all-time series 8-5, but Kansas State has won the last two matchups between the two schools.

Vegas: The Red Raiders opened as four-point favorites. The over/under opened at 60.

Weather: A high of 77 and sunny skiesd.

Three names to know

Davis Webb. Texas Tech began the year with a walk-on freshman starting at quarterback, but Webb took over and has done pretty well, with 15 touchdowns against nine interceptions.

Jace Amaro. Webb's top target is his tight end, and he may be the best tight end this side of Nick O'Leary. Amaro has 79 catches for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Ryan Mueller. Kansas State's junior defensive end has five sacks on the year, and will need to disrupt Webb's prolific attack.

Two things at stake

Kansas State is riding a nice winning streak, and a win here would continue that momentum and all but guarantee a bowl berth.

The Red Raiders need to get back on track after two straight losses, and another loss here would send them spiraling out of control with two tough games left.
