Coming off a big win over Texas Tech, the Oklahoma State Cowboys will continue their quest for the Big 12 title this weekend as the struggling Kansas Jayhawks come to town.
How to watch Kansas vs. Oklahoma State: Preview, TV time, odds and more
Mike Gundy’s boys look to keep rolling against the struggling Jayhawks.
Things have not gone well for KU football in recent years. The Jayhawks are 2-6 this year and winless against conference foes, dropping every game by at least 10 points. Playing in a hostile road environment, just keeping the score close would be a moral victory in itself for Kansas.
The numbers
Rankings and records: The Cowboys come in ranked 14th in the BCS. With two of their final four games coming against teams currently ranked in the BCS top 10, OSU needs to be sure to get past the Jayhawks without incident and begin preparing for showdowns with Baylor and Oklahoma.
Vegas: Oklahoma State opened as a 32-point favorite. The over/under opened at 53.5
Weather: Sunny skies and a high of 70 are expected in Stillwater.
Three names to know
Clint Chelf - Chelf seems to have earned the permanent starting gig over J.W. Walsh. A senior, Chelf has thrown for 760 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions while completing just over 50 percent of his throws.
Desmond Roland - Roland leads OSU with 462 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on a team-high 93 carries.
James Sims - There’s not much punch to this KU offense, but Sims is the best bet to break one down the field. He leads the Jayhawks with 637 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Two things at stake
A win keeps Oklahoma State in the hunt for the Big 12 title.
Kansas has won two conference games since 2009. A win would be pretty big.
