Saturday college football schedule: Army-Navy, Heisman, and playoffs

The regular season is (mostly) over, and bowl games haven’t started yet, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t college football to watch this Saturday.

12 p.m. ET Coastal Carolina No. 1 North Dakota State ESPN
12 p.m. ET North Central Mount Union ESPN3
12 p.m. ET No. 3 West Chester No. 1 Lenoir-Rhyne ESPN3
3 p.m. ET Army Navy CBS
3:30 p.m. ET No. 4 Grand Valley State No. 1 Northwest Missouri State ESPN3
3:30 p.m. ET Wisconsin-Whitewater Mary Hardin-Baylor ESPN3
4:05 p.m. ET Jacksonville State No. 3 Eastern Washington ESPN3
7 p.m. ET New Hampshire No. 4 Southeastern Louisiana ESPN3
8 p.m. ET Heisman Trophy ceremony ESPN

No. 1 North Dakota State vs. Coastal Carolina

Unlike the FBS level, the FCS level still has their two-time reigning champs in line for a three-peat opportunity. The Bison will face a tough Coastal Carolina team here that has won 12 games, but should be favored to win easily.

Army vs. Navy

Our only FBS game before bowl season sees an Army team whose only FBS wins have come against 2-10 Eastern Michigan and 4-8 Louisiana Tech squaring off against a Navy team that has won three in a row and already knows its destination. But that’s fine. It’s arguably the greatest rivalry in all of sports. Expect a lot of running in this one -- the Black Knights have the second-best rushing offense in the nation, while the Midshipmen are right behind them in third.

No. 1 Lenoir-Rhyne vs. No. 3 West Chester

At the Division II and III levels, they’re already at the semifinals, so be sure to keep an eye on this one as well as the Division III game between Wisconsin-Whitewater and Mary Hardin-Baylor.
