Jadeveon Clowney cited for speeding again, this time 84 in a 55

The Gamecocks star is facing another speeding ticket, and another hefty fine to go with it.

Streeter Lecka

For the second time in December, South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been pulled over and ticketed for speeding, according to John Monk of The State. He was stopped at approximately 10:30 a.m. ET Thursday morning by Columbia police and cited for going 84 in a 55 MPH zone.

Earlier in the month, he was caught by the South Carolina Highway Patrol going 110 in a 70 MPH zone. That stop earned him a $355 dollar fine. That offense could have earned him six points on his license for going more than 25 MPH over the speed limit, and the same is true of this latest incident. He is also facing a steeper fine this time around, if local news reports are accurate.

Clowney is (likely) set to conclude his college career when South Carolina takes on Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1. It is unclear at this point whether or not Thursday’s incident will result in any punishment from the Gamecocks.
