Auburn leads Missouri 28-27 after scintillating first half of SEC title game

The Auburn Tigers have the upper hand over the Missouri Tigers after an excellent first half in Atlanta, 28-27. The two teams have combined for nearly 700 yards of total offense, and the 55 combined points is a new first half record for the SEC Championship Game. Tre Mason has 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the first half alone, and Nick Marshall has a touchdown in the air and on the ground while going 5-5 passing for 98 yards, all of which went to Sammy Coates.

It felt like Auburn was on the verge of pulling away at the end of the half, but Missouri was able to flip the script when James Franklin hit Dorial Green-Beckham for his second touchdown of the half, a 55-yard catch with 18 seconds remaining before the break. Green-Beckham missed a portion of the half while getting his shoulder looked at, but he still has over 100 receiving yards. That plus two Auburn turnovers are keeping the Tigers right on pace with the other Tigers.
