Brown is considered a top-five linebacker in this year’s NFL draft. He could go in the first or second round, but his lack of work at the NFL Combine could alter his high ranking.
After transferring from Miami after his sophomore season, Brown was a consistent force for the Wildcats. In 2012, Brown recorded 100 tackles, one sack, two interceptions and a touchdown. He was as good or better in 2011. As a junior, he recorded 101 tackles, two sacks and an interception.
When he was in Miami, Brown recorded just 17 tackles in two seasons.
Brown is one of the fastest linebackers available in this year’s draft, but his size is one of his weaknesses, according to scouts. At less than 230 pounds, Brown is considered undersized to be an NFL linebacker.
