Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller will be on the cover of the Mar. 4 Sports Illustrated, and will be featured in a story by Thomas Lake, according to the magazine. Lake's article will detail Miller's difficult past and his rise to a Heisman contender on one of college football's premier teams.

Ohio State’s lead man will be donning the cover of Sports Illustrated next week.

This will mark the sixth time an Ohio State quarterback graces the cover of Sports Illustrated, and Miller is the fourth to do so. Troy Smith was the last in 2006 and Art Schlicter was the first in 1979. Craig Krenzel appeared on the cover three times in 2003.
Ohio State’s football program has been featured on S.I.‘s cover 15 times overall, with the most recent coming in 2011. Miller’s should be far more positive, as that cover focused on Jim Tressel’s scandal with the Buckeyes.
Miller improved his skills in the passing game to emerge as a dual-threat for the Buckeyes in 2012. He completed 58 percent of his passes for 2,039 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore. Miller also added 1,271 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground for undefeated Ohio State.
The soon-to-be junior has been begged at 7:1 odds to win the 2013 Heisman Trophy, second behind the 2012 winner Johnny Manziel. Miller should get more press this season as his Buckeyes are no longer banned from the postseason and will be among the favorites to usurp Alabama from the college football throne.
