Tucson prosecutors have dropped all charges against Arizona running back Ka'Deem Carey stemming from an incident on Dec. 26, according to the Associated Press. Caery had been charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct following the incident, involving a dispute with his pregnant girlfriend. She alleged that Carey had pushed and shoved her, and repeatedly shut her fingers in a door, in an order of protection granted on New Year's Eve.

Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez told reporters at the time that he was aware of the situation, but has not disclosed if any disciplinary action will be taken against Carey for the fight. Rodriguez could also potentially discipline Carey over an altercation with police at an Arizona basketball game just weeks after the first incident.

As a sophomore in 2012, Carey was one of the nation’s top running backs. He ran for an FBS-best 1,929 yards and set an Arizona school record with 23 touchdowns. He was named a consensus All-American.
