Oregon’s Tyree Robinson allegedly struck female, according to report

The true freshman appears to have gotten off on the wrong foot in Eugene.

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

Oregon Ducks freshman Tyree Robinson was cited for physical harassment stemming from an incident with a woman that occurred early Sunday morning, according to KEZI 9 News. Eugene police said Robinson and the woman got into an argument over a relationship, and he allegedly slapped her more than once. Police opted to issue a citation rather than bring him into custody at that time.

Robinson now faces an arraignment on July 30. The Ducks have not made a statement on the matter yet, and it is unclear what sort of punishment he might be facing.

Robinson, who is a member of the Ducks’ 2013 class, was a coveted recruit out of California along with his twin brother, Tyrell. Tyree was a consensus four-star prospect and was considered one of the top 150 recruits in the country. He signed with Oregon over Washington, among many others.
