There's been another twist in the aftermath of Johnny Manziel's eventful weekend. ESPN's Joe Schad updated the story with another report Monday indicating that Manziel apologized to the Texas A&M coaching staff.

The time leading up to SEC Media Days continues to be eventful for the Manziel clan.

Schad’s report includes this nugget:
Manziel, who is scheduled to speak at SEC media days on Wednesday, was “very upset” as he headed home from the academy and has privately conceded that he needs to continue to mature, the source said.
Which apparently prompted this retort from Manziel’s sister:
Lets just get this straight joe schad....you weren't in the car with my mom and brother therefore you have no idea what your talking about

Manziel is less than two days away from facing a large media contingent at SEC Media Days, so that should be fun. His sister presumably will not be making the trip to Birmingham with him.
The whole mess began when news broke that Manziel left the Manning Passing Academy early over the weekend. He was serving as a counselor at the event and either showed up late or missed some of his camp assignments. In a statement, the Manning Passing Academy said illness was responsible, but rumors about a late night out Friday suggested a hangover was the problem.
The Manning Passing Academy is sticking with the sufficiently vague “illness” line, and Manziel’s father later said the quarterback was recovering from dehydration. Manziel was spotted out at bars in College Station on Saturday, which was the same day he left the Manning Passing Academy.
