Jadeveon Clowney made headlines at SEC Media Days this week when he said that quarterbacks Aaron Murray and Tajh Boyd are afraid of him. Murray tactfully addressed those comments on Thursday morning, denying that he's scared of the South Carolina defensive end.

There’s nothing wrong with being afraid of Jadeveon Clowney, but Murray and Boyd aren’t about to admit anything of the sort.

Tight end Arthur Lynch came to his quarterback's defense on the issue:

Head coach Mark Richt, on the other hand, readily admitted that Clowney is a large and terrifying individual. There is no shame in that, coach.
Dabo Swinney was quick to deny the notion that Boyd is afraid of anyone, but the Clemson quarterback didn’t bother with a direct response of his own. He initially had planned to tweet out a retort, according to Dan Wolken of USA Today, but then thought better of reacting in that way.
“I’ll tell you man, honestly, there’s some things I would definitely like to say but I’m just not going to entertain it,” Boyd told USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday.
He took this route instead and left it at that:

Murray and Boyd will have the opportunity to let their play serve as rebuttals to Clowney on Sept. 7 and Nov. 30, respectively.
