Ole Miss' storied 2013 recruiting class is having itself a fine game against Vanderbilt. And so far, national No. 1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche is holding his own.
But did we know he could do this? He played some running back in high school, but did we think he'd be carrying the ball on a designed play in his very first game? Jadeveon Clowney hasn't ever done this. I ain't sayin'. I'm just sayin'.
Also, his brother, Denzel Nkemdiche, plays behind him on the Rebels' defense. So even if Vandy solves one Nkemdiche's offensive contributions, there's another waiting.
Asked at the break by ESPN about the call, coach Hugh Freeze said he wanted to take advantage of the freshman’s “mobility.”
In true Ole Miss fashion, all this excitement amounted to a missed field goal.
