WMU-MSU delayed by lightning
Big Ten NetworkEast Lansing weather has forced at least a 30-minute delay in the Western Michigan-Michigan State game, with 11:19 to go in the second quarter. By NCAA rules, a nearby lightning strike means at least a half-hour suspension. Thursday night, UNC-South Carolina was stalled for two hours due to similar conditions.
And it could be longer than a half-hour here, too. The game’s scheduled to resume at 10 p.m. ET, but note the use of “may” here by Michigan State’s official account:
