VIDEO: Nick Saban responds (huffily) to questions about Yahoo! investigation

Well, he responds exactly how you’d expect Nick Saban to respond.

The Alabama athletic department and head coach Nick Saban have responded to the Yahoo! report that alleged a former Tide player received money from agents to recruit players who were currently members of the Alabama football team.

Alabama athletic director Bill Battle first released a brief statement, saying the school was already looking into allegations that former offensive tackle D.J. Fluker had accepted money.

Saban spoke to the media briefly after the team’s practice Wednesday, and remained confident in the school’s ability to handle such scenarios.

I know that we have, I think, one of the best agent education programs in terms of what we try to do to help our players make good choices and decisions about what they do and what they don’t do when it comes to agents. I have full confidence in our leadership to handle the situation appropriately and I know that we will.

Saban became increasingly frustrated with the repeated questions about the report, which he addressed in his opening statement as something he had not read.

After a third straight question about the report, Saban turned up the notch before exiting the festivities early.

Saban had hoped to field questions about Alabama’s upcoming game against fellow top-10 Texas A&M. By the way, the two teams will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday.
