Oklahoma vs. Tulsa 2013 final score: Sooners roll to 51-20 win

The Sooners had no problem dealing with Tulsa on Saturday, using a powerful Blake Bell performance to coast to an easy win.

The Oklahoma Sooners had little trouble dispatching Tulsa on Saturday, coasting to a 51-20 win in Norman.

Blake Bell -- the towering, hulking golem who we're used to seeing punch in touchdowns around the goal line -- was tasked with running the Oklahoma offense for a full 60 minutes with Trevor Knight out due to an injury. Bell looked up to the challenge, too, throwing two touchdowns in the first half and was the engine that powered the Sooners to a 37-7 halftime lead. He threw his third score of the day less than three minutes into the third quarter, effectively ending the game.

Oklahoma amassed 607 yards of total offense on the afternoon and didn’t turn the ball over once. Sterling Shepard caught two touchdown passes, and Jalen Saunders and and Roy Finch each pulled in one score a piece.

Box Score Hero:

It has to be Blake Bell. He went 27-of-37 for 413 yards and four touchdown passes with zero interceptions. Not so sure Trevor Knight gets the starting job back.

Rankings Ramifications:

The Sooners were ranked 14th in the AP and 13th in the USA Today polls entering Saturday. This result should get them to climb a spot or two, depending on what happens to the teams above them. Tulsa will remain unranked.

But Did They Cover?

Oklahoma was a 23-point favorite at kickoff, so yes, they covered the spread.
