2013 Heisman odds update: Marcus Mariota, Johnny Manziel overtake Teddy Bridgewater

There’s a new leader on top of the Heisman standings.

After a less-than-stellar performance against Kentucky, Vegas says Teddy Bridgewater has fallen from the top of the Heisman race, via Bovada.

Bridgewater completed 16 of 28 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown against the Wildcats, after he had a combined nine touchdowns in his first two games.

In the top slot now is Marcus Mariota, the Oregon quarterback who has 11 total touchdowns on the young season. In the Ducks’ most recent game, against Tennessee, Mariota threw for 456 yards and four touchdowns and ran for an additional score.

Also moving up the rankings are Johnny Manziel and A.J. McCarron, the two quarterbacks from Week 3’s epic Texas A&M-Alabama duel. Manziel threw for 464 yards and five touchdowns on the day, while McCarron threw for 334 yards and four touchdowns and led his team to the win.

Last week, Bridgewater was a 4/1 favorite, followed by Manziel and Mariota at 13/2. McCarron was tied for sixth at 10/1.
