The Florida State Seminoles dominated the Pitt Panthers in their ACC debut on Monday night, picking up the 41-13 win at Heinz Field.

It was the Jameis Winston show on Monday evening as the freshman quarterback torched the Panthers for 381 total yards.
The story of the game was freshman quarterback Jameis Winston, who came into the game having the unfortunate task of trying to fill E.J. Manuel's shoes. Winston surpassed any and all expectations, completing 25-of-27 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns. He also carried the ball eight times for 25 yards and a touchdown. It was about as impressive of a debut as you can have in college football, and Winston's name will likely enter the Heisman race sooner rather than later.
Playing in front of a loud home crowd, Pittsburgh came out with plenty of energy and took an early 7-0 lead. It was mostly all downhill from there, though, with the Panthers turning the ball over twice and struggling to slow down Winston and the high-flying Florida State offensive attack. Senior quarterback Tom Savage, who was making his Pitt debut, played decently. He threw for 201 yards and a touchdown, but Savage was also responsible for two interceptions.
Box Score Hero: While Winston will understandably grab all of the headlines, FSU tight end Nick O'Leary had quite the night himself. He hauled in just four passes, but three of them went for touchdowns. Devin Street looked great at wideout for the Panthers, hauling in a team-high six passes for 141 yards.
Rankings Ramifications: Florida State should hold firm right around No. 11 when the polls are released on Tuesday. There is a slim chance the Seminoles jump Georgia, who lost to Clemson over the weekend, though it’s unlikely the Dawgs drop very far after falling on the road.
But Did They Cover? Florida State opened as a 10.5-point favorite, with most lines moving up to 12 points by kickoff. FSU covered the spread with ease.
