Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller, who missed most of the Buckeyes' Week 2 game against San Diego State and all of last week's game against Cal with a sprained knee, is reportedly out again for his team's game against Florida A&M. However, that's being disputed.
College football news: Braxton Miller maybe out; Fresno tops Boise
The Ohio State quarterback’s status is in question, and Fresno State picked up a big Friday night win against Boise State.

ESPN first reported that Miller would miss the game against the Rattlers, but 97.1 The Fan in Columbus almost immediately came back with a report citing sources that called ESPN’s report “wrong with a capital ‘W.’” ESPN’s Austin Ward, who covers the Buckeyes, tweeted that Miller participated in pregame warm-ups without a limp or a knee brace. Will he or won’t he play? Only time will tell.
Friday night’s Fresno State-Boise State game had plenty of BCS implications for the Mountain West Conference. The Broncos already had a loss at Washington, but with a Fresno win, the Bulldogs would have a real shot at an unbeaten season. After jumping out to a big lead, Fresno fell behind before rallying for the winning touchdown with 2:14 left. When it was all said and done, the teams combined for more than 1,000 yards of offense in a 41-40 Bulldogs win.
Quarterback Derek Carr was the star for Fresno. The younger brother of former Bulldog and NFLer David completed 39-of-60 passes for 460 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Bulldogs receivers Isaiah Bruce and Davante Adams combined for 22 catches, 258 yards and a score.
There hasn't been much good news for Texas in recent weeks. The Longhorns are 1-2 and have been outscored, 84-44, and have given up 822 rushing yards in their last two games. But against Kansas State, Mack Brown will have his starting quarterback in action.
Ash suffered a concussion/shoulder injury during the second half of Texas' 40-21 loss at BYU in Week 2. Senior backup Case McCoy started in place of Ash last Week against Ole Miss, and the offense was noticeably lacking its regular signal caller. The 'Horns were outgained, 449-320, and McCoy threw for just 196 yards and one score.
BYU starting linebacker Spencer Hadley will miss the Cougars' next five games because he violated the school's Honor Code. The BYU compliance department received a photo of Hadley posing with a group at a Las Vegas strip club and a bottle of champagne in his hand. The best part: BYU was apparently tipped off by a Utah fan.
