Though Alabama has canceled its upcoming series with Michigan State, the Tide won’t be looking for a home date with the Little Sisters of the Poor. They are reportedly in talks to play a “big-name opponent” at a neutral site in 2016, according to a report by the Tuscaloosa News.

Regardless of opponent, the Tide have done extremely well while playing in neutral sites -- in the last five seasons, Alabama is undefeated in regular season neutral site games:
- 2008: 34-10W against Clemson in Atlanta
- 2009: 34-24W against Virginia Tech in Atlanta
- 2012: 41-14W against Michigan in Dallas
- 2013: 35-10W against Virginia Tech in Atlanta
Their neutral-site record isn’t unblemished when factoring in SEC Championship Games or bowls, but at an overall 10-2, remains extremely strong anyway:
- 2008: 31-20L against Florida (SEC Championship Game)
- 2009: 31-17L against Utah (Sugar Bowl)
- 2009: 32-13W against Florida (SEC Championship Game)
- 2010: 37-21W against Texas (BCS Championship Game)
- 2011: 49-7W against Michigan State (Capital One Bowl)
- 2012: 21-0W against LSU (BCS Championship Game)
- 2012: 32-28W against Georgia (SEC Championship Game)
- 2013: 42-14 against Notre Dame (BCS Championship Game)
While previous records in this area aren’t really indicative of future success, things don’t seem to bode well for whoever Alabama’s future opponent is.
