Southern Cal offensive tackle Zach Banner, cornerback Devian Shelton and defensive end Greg Townsend Jr. will miss the remainder of the 2013 season due to injury, according to the Orange County Register's Rich Hammond:

The announcement comes just two days after safety Dion Bailey missed a practice due to an undisclosed illness or injury. The Trojans could also be without guard Aundrey Walker, who was seen with a boot on his right foot Monday. Kiffin told reporters that he plans to take just 56 "recruited scholarship players" to the team's game against Arizona State Saturday.
The 6’9, 345-pound Banner is reportedly suffering from a hip injury. He did not appear in the team’s win over Utah State last week. The redshirt freshman has been listed as a backup.
Shelton, also a second-string redshirt freshman, suffered a foot injury. Kiffin criticized the young defensive back for allowing the only touchdown pass against the Trojans in their Week 1 win over Hawaii.
Townsend, a third-year sophomore who recorded 15 tackles and 1.5 TFL in 2012, is nursing a knee injury. He has been listed behind George Uko on the Southern Cal depth chart this year.
USC faces Arizona State in Sun Devil Stadium Saturday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.
