Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson isn't happy with his school and hopes to be bought out of his contract, according to CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman. The coach is quoted as denying the report to Coaching Search, saying in part, "I have no idea what he is talking about."

Georgia Tech just finished up a 7-6 season with a 25-17 loss to Ole Miss in the Music City Bowl. The Yellow Jackets were 5-3 in ACC play this year, tying with Miami and Virginia Tech for second in the Coastal Division. It's the fourth straight year Tech has ended the season with at least five losses.
Regarding the Lee transfer, Joey Weaver at SB Nation Georgia Tech blog From the Rumble Seat noted that if Johnson is still around, he may be coaching for his job in 2014:

Johnson is 48-32 overall with the Jackets and 31-17 in conference play. He led his team to Coastal Division titles in each of his first two seasons and won the ACC Championship Game in Year 2, although that title was later vacated. In ‘08 and ‘09, Georgia Tech compiled a 19-7 record, good for a .731 winning percentage. In his last four years, that number has dropped to .538. The Yellow Jackets are 1-5 against archrival Georgia during Johnson’s tenure.
