Two months after four key Notre Dame players were suspended amid an academic fraud investigation, we’re starting to get some clarity on those players’ futures. On Tuesday, wide receiver DaVaris Daniels, announced on Twitter that he was “done” at Notre Dame. He does not have a degree.

Joining Daniels is linebacker Kendall Moore, who is suspended for the season and will not return to the university.

Daniels had 745 receiving yards and seven touchdowns for the Irish last year, while Moore had the potential to possibly move into the starting lineup at linebacker.

The two other suspended players, linebacker Ishaq Williams and cornerback KeiVarae Russell, apparently may return to the team. Russell was arguably Notre Dame’s best defender.

However, that likely can’t happen until next year.

That’s similar to the suspension that quarterback Everett Golson received for academic fraud. After leading the Irish to the national title game in 2012, he was suspended for the entire 2013 season, but is back leading Notre Dame, which plays at Florida State on Saturday.
