A successful high school coach in Tennessee for more than a decade, Freeze first came to Ole Miss as the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator from 2005-07. After posting a 20-5 record in two years as the head coach of NAIA Lambuth, Freeze was hired as the offensive coordinator at Arkansas State in 2010. He was promoted to head coach before the 2011 season, posting a 10-2 record before being hired away by Ole Miss. The Rebels are 23-13 under Freeze, rising all the way to No. 3 in the polls this season.
