Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight was carted off the field after receiving a hard hit during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s blowout loss to Baylor. After remaining on the field for around 10 minutes, Knight waved to the fans as he was carted off.

On fourth-and-two trailing 41-14, Knight avoided a sack before being hit by three Baylor players -- two in the head and upper body. One of the three players was Shawn Oakman, who delivered a hard hit near Knight’s chest and shoulder while the quarterback was falling down.

Knight completed 12 of 27 passes for 146 yards with two touchdowns against one interception in the game, rushing 13 times for 46 yards. Entering the game, the sophomore had completed 59.5% of his passes for 2,051 yards (8.1 yards per attempt) with 17 total touchdowns against eight interceptions.

Redshirt freshman Cody Thomas, who has completed six of 14 passes for 48 yards with an interception this season, will replace Knight at quarterback.
