Jerry Kill and Minnesota are having quite the season. The Gophers control their own destiny in the Big Ten, tied atop the West division standings with a 4-1 conference record, and have recorded victories over rivals Michigan and Iowa. It’s the first time the Gophers have beaten both those teams in one season since 1967, and the team’s equipment Twitter account celebrated the arrival of the trophies.

The Little Brown Jug and the Floyd of Rosedale will reside in the Twin Cities for at least the next year.

— Gopher Equipment (@GopherFBEquip) November 9, 2014 Though they each experienced the same outcome this year, the two rivalries have had different results historically: Michigan holds a 73-25-3 advantage over the Gophers, while Minnesota leads the Iowa series 62-44-2.
It's been a fun weekend for the Gophers: Kill danced after destroying Iowa. The slate up ahead may be a little more challenging. Minnesota has tough games against Ohio State, Nebraska and Wisconsin left on the schedule.
