The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 5-0 SU and ATS over their last five games.
The Yellow Jackets will be looking to end Florida State's 28-game win streak and claim the ACC title with an upset win this Saturday.
Georgia Tech is a 3.5-point underdog at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Florida State can't be trusted to cover big spreads this year, but at only -3.5 the Seminoles should be able to win the ACC Championship and cover the spread.
OddsShark Computer Prediction: Florida State 39, Georgia Tech 26.9
After losing a pair of games back-to-back to Duke and North Carolina, Georgia Tech fell to 5-2 SU and 3-4 ATS and fell out of favor with a lot of bettors. But the backers that stuck with the Yellow Jackets were handsomely rewarded with a 5-0 SU and ATS run that included an average margin of victory of 22.8 points per game.
The most impressive win of the run came last week when the Yellow Jackets upset Georgia with a 30-24 road win as a 10.5-point underdog. Georgia Tech is 5-0 ATS and 2-3 SU in its last five games against Florida State.
Florida State and Georgia Tech square off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium.
The Seminoles continued their tight rope act against the Florida Gators last week, narrowly escaping with a 24-19 win at home as a 7-point favorite. Florida State improved to 12-0 SU on the season while falling to 3-9 ATS, illustrating what kind of season it has been for the Seminoles.
The team overcame four interceptions by Jameis Winston thanks to outstanding play by the defense to limit the damage every time. Against a Georgia Tech team with a more potent offense than Florida's, Winston will need to be much sharper this week. Florida State is 3-10 ATS over its last 13 games, according to the OddsShark College Football Database, but has covered the spread in both of its games when favored by less than a touchdown this year.
Georgia Tech proved it could hang with anyone last week, and another sloppy performance by Florida State could end its perfect season. But the Seminoles always seem to do just enough to win, and at only -3.5 at the sportsbooks, they will probably do it again.
