I get it. (STAR PLAYER) isn’t with the team anymore after (GOING TO THE NFL/GRADUATING/TRANSFERRING/PURSUING A MORE STABLE CAREER PATH), but the voters didn’t even take the time to look up (REPLACEMENT PLAYER), who’s going to be just as good.
I mean, have you seen (THE OFFENSE/THE DEFENSE/THE SCHEDULE)? There’s no way (TEAM) doesn’t win (THE CONFERENCE/10 GAMES/THE BIG RIVALRY GAME).
The quarterback can (PASS THE DANG BALL/RUN THE DANG BALL/HAND OFF THE DANG BALL), and the offensive line may be (INEXPERIENCED/SMALL/FIVE GUYS WE FOUND AT A CHILI’S), but you can really sense the (OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT/CAMARADERIE/HUNGER).
That’s not even mentioning the (INCOMING RECRUITING CLASS/NEW COACHING STAFF/NEW UNIFORMS). That change is really going to make the difference and take (TEAM) to the next level this season.
Don’t forget how the season ended, either. With the (MOMENTUM SURGE FROM THAT BOWL WIN/EXTRA MOTIVATION FROM THAT BOWL LOSS/EXTRA TIME AT HOME WITHOUT A BOWL), this team is ready to play.
