August 28 college football final scores: Texas A&M blasts South Carolina, ULM upsets Wake
Check out scores from around the country in college football tonight, including a recap of Texas A&M’s surprising rout of South Carolina.

The biggest game of college football’s real opening night ended up being a shocker, but also a snoozer. Inexperienced Texas A&M, breaking in a new quarterback, went to Columbia and beat up on SEC East favorite South Carolina.
Kenny Hill took over the reigns from Johnny Manziel and didn’t disappoint in his first start, setting a school record for passing yards with 511 and helping the Aggies put up 680 yards on the South Carolina defense.
That’s the most total yards the Gamecocks have ever given up, and while Texas A&M now looks like a dark horse in the SEC West, South Carolina must go back to the drawing board on defense, looking for some semblance of a pass rush and major improvement from the secondary. Until that happens, Steve Spurrier’s team can no longer be considered the favorite in the SEC East.
