Baylor football posted this video Wednesday of the Heisman contender showing off his impressive leaping skills, clearing a cone in practice.
Petty’s been measured as having a 38-inch vertical, a fairly absurd number for a quarterback (especially one with Petty’s kind of arm). But is it basketball good? Most definitely. Via the DraftExpress database, a list of players whose pre-draft vertical number fell short of Petty’s.
