Baylor has defeated Texas in three of the last four meetings between the two schools. Baylor has also finished with more wins than Texas in three of the last four years. Hey Texas, does that mean anything to you?
Longhorns player: ‘They’re still Baylor ... we’re still Texas’
“Just because they started playing better, that’s good for them.”

Texas WR John Harris: "They're still Baylor. Just because they started playing better, that's good for them. We're still Texas."
— Mike Finger (@mikefinger) September 29, 2014 That would be senior John Harris, Texas's leading receiver this season, throwing shade at a team that has basically owned the Longhorns during his entire tenure with the school. Harris has played against Baylor in each of the last two seasons, totaling exactly zero catches for zero yards with zero touchdowns.
“They’re still Baylor” likely refers to the school’s traditional spot in the state pecking order. Before Art Briles showed up, the Bears went 13 years without a bowl bid.
In April, Texas linebacker Steve Edmond said, “Baylor gets a win and act like they haven’t won before. They won it, so what? They still suck to me.”
Vegas disagrees with Harris and Edmond, for what that’s worth. Baylor opened as a 13-point favorite over the Longhorns, and the line has increased rapidly to 16 since then.
The 4-0 Bears, ranked No. 7 in the country, will face Texas Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
