Alabama extends lead over FSU in 2014 national title odds

Marcus Mariota remains the favorite in the Heisman race.

Just 31 teams are left on the board for the race to the college football national championship. Alabama holds their lead over defending champion Florida State, while Oklahoma and Auburn fill out the rest of the top four, via Bovada.

UCLA is a big riser after their blowout win over Arizona State, while Auburn and Texas A&M are the only fallers in the Top 10. Other notable bumps came for Mississippi State (40/1 to 33/1), BYU (66/1 to 50/1), and Missouri and Oklahoma State (both 300/1 to 100/1). A whopping 11 teams were taken off the board after last week, including South Carolina, Penn State, Arizona State, Tennessee and Texas.

Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah was the week’s biggest riser -- the nation’s leading rusher had his third 200-yard game of the season in the Cornhuskers’ win over Illinois. Jameis Winston continues to fall, while Christian Hackenberg, Leonard Fournette and Myles Jack are among the notables no longer listed on the board.
