You know about Ohio State starting its third-string quarterback in the National Championship. You might also know that Oregon’s suffered injuries to 15 starters throughout this season.
Marcus Mariota is Oregon’s only offensive player to start all year at the same position
How many other offenses would’ve fallen apart with that much change?
But how about this as a way to show what Oregon overcame this season?

— Matt Hinton (@MattRHinton) January 11, 2015 Heisman-winning quarterback Marcus Mariota and company have kept perhaps the country’s best offense humming despite losing their No. 1 receiver in the offseason, losing their top tackle in August, constantly shuffling offensive linemen, and dropping other weapons throughout. Even Mariota was said to be hurt at one point.
Every football team gets hurt. But what Oregon and Ohio State both fought through to make it this far is something special.
