The Ducks’ former head coach -- whose protege, Mark Helfrich, has a chance to win the program’s first-ever national title -- actually has ties to both programs in the championship.

“I learned more from him than he did from me,” he said to ESPN’s College GameDay of Ohio State’s Urban Meyer, a friend and fellow innovator.

So who's he rooting for? Well, he's said to be on the Ducks sideline during the game. Of course.
