What Jones was able to accomplish in only his third career start is remarkable, but it was running back Ezekiel Elliott that truly paced the Buckeyes to the title. He rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns, adding to an incredible late run in the 2014 season.
Oregon got off to a bright start, but Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota and the Ducks ran into stiff resistance from Joey Bosa and the Ohio State defense. They ended the game with a robust 465 yards, but only went 2-12 on third down and failed to convert both four down attempts.
