The NFL announced Monday that 84 non-seniors are entering the 2015 Draft, a lower number than in previous years. That’s in addition to the hundreds of seniors who’ll hope to be selected.
2015 NFL Draft early entries list: FSU, USC, Florida sending most to pros
Schools that typically end up near the top of recruiting rankings also send the most non-senior talent to the NFL.

That number includes the last two Heisman winners. Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston and Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota are expected to be among the first few picks.
The Seminoles lead the way with five players leaving early for the draft, with defenders Ronald Darby, Mario Edwards Jr., Eddie Goldman and P.J. Williams joining Winston. USC and Florida each have four players leaving, while LSU, Penn State, Louisville and Alabama each have three.
2015 was long expected to be a rebuilding year for FSU, based on the timing of so much experienced talent leaving over the last two years, and Florida’s breaking in new head coach Jim McElwain. That makes it interesting that the Trojans also give up many early entries, including potential No. 1 pick Leonard Williams, as USC looks likely to rank in the preseason top 10, based on the early top 25 projections.
Worth noting: defending national champion Ohio State doesn’t lose any early entries.
