Update: Winston is turning pro, as expected, according to ESPN.
Jameis Winston declaring for NFL Draft, according to report
The former Heisman winner’s decision isn’t expected to be formally announced until after Ohio State-Oregon.

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston will make his decision on whether to forego his final two seasons to enter the NFL Draft after Monday's national championship game, his father told ESPN Tuesday. Winston won the Heisman Trophy as a redshirt freshman in 2013, and is widely evaluated as one of the top players in the upcoming draft class.
He’s long been expected to turn pro after this season, but Yahoo! Sports’ Rand Getlin reports the decision isn’t necessarily already made:
Multiple sources with insight on Jameis Winston’s process indicate the QB is seriously considering staying in school for another year. That’s not to say Winston will in fact stay in school, but it’s fascinating that he’s even entertaining the notion.
A former five-star recruit out of Alabama, Winston redshirted his first year on campus before a terrific 2013 season. As a freshman, he threw for 40 touchdowns against 10 interceptions, leading the Seminoles to an undefeated season and a national title as well as winning the Heisman Trophy. This season, Winston threw 25 touchdowns against 18 interceptions, leading Florida State to another undefeated regular season before a Rose Bowl loss to Oregon in the College Football Playoff semifinal round.
Our latest mock draft asked what would happen if the Titans passed on Winston at the No. 2 spot, but he and Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota could end up being the top two picks in the draft.
