Michigan adds pick-six to total annihilation of Northwestern
It’s getting ugly in Ann Arbor.
Northwestern’s trip to Michigan was billed as a battle of two of the nation’s best defenses. Michigan’s, at least, has shown up. And since Michigan has held the Wildcats scoreless, this pick-six means the Wolverines’ defense is actually outscoring Northwestern’s offense.
On the play, Clayton Thorson throws a bomb in an effort to not be slaughtered by Michigan’s pass rush, and cornerback Jourdan Lewis rips the ball away from a Wildcats receiver. That raised the score to 28-0 in Michigan’s favor, where it remained until the half.
That defense has allowed one touchdown since the first quarter of Michigan’s game against Oregon State, which was a month ago. Goodness.
