Tennessee has had a bit of a problem blowing leads this year. Well, a really big problem. So when they punted the ball with 1:48 to go up 38-31 against Georgia, their fans had to be fearing the worst.
Tennessee just executed the most perfect punt you will see. No, seriously. This isn’t just an Internet headline.
THIS PUNT COULD NOT HAVE GONE BETTER. LITERALLY.
Fortunately, their punter is Trevor Daniel, warlock/soothsayer/my new nominee for Heisman:
That last sideways bounce doesn’t make any sense, but it did happen. Physicists are rushing to explain it right now. And it left Georgia needing 99.5 yards for the tie, which they couldn’t pull off.
