In flagrant disrespect of every Internet commenter who thinks we should wait until the end of the season to pick Playoff teams, Matt Brown and Bill Connelly join Ryan Nanni in the video above to talk our top four, which includes Utah and Clemson as the top two seeds, right now! In the middle of October! We are the most rebellious people in human history.
The College Football Playoff isn’t starting today, but if it did, here’s your 4
Actually, it is. The College Football Playoff is starting today. Better suit up!
To compound this shameless disregard for the calendar, Ryan and Jason Kirk talk ballots:

Hello, my name is Ryan, and I'm willingly defending Michigan football in 2015 even though I didn't go to Michigan and don't count myself as a Michigan fan. I am doing so because, despite the rational argument against it that Bud Elliott put forward, voting based on resume is more fun. Michigan's beaten two top-30 teams in the latest F/+ rankings. Let me amend that: Michigan SHUT OUT two top-30 teams in the latest F/+ rankings.
Michigan State and Ohio State have the better records, but the best teams they’ve played rank 43rd (Virginia Tech) and 55th (Oregon). The sole loss for the Wolverines came on the road by one score to a top-10 team that might win the Pac-12 South. I’m willing to say that’s better than squeaking by Western Michigan.

Sure, I'll rank Florida way up there even despite quarterback Will Grier's suspension. That's based on what the Gators have done so far, and less on what they'll do for the remainder of the season, though there's an excellent case that they're still the SEC East favorite even with a lesser quarterback. The winner of Florida-LSU on Saturday almost certainly deserves a place in your top four, but at the moment, Florida's had as hard a path to 6-0 as anybody.
