Well, we're only halfway through the season and there are college football jobs open from coast to coast. Which ones do you want as a perspective coach? Bill Connelly, Bud Elliot and Steven Godfrey rank them, from Southern Cal to North Texas. They also plan to keep that ranking updated as more spots come open.

The former man at one of those spots, Steve Sarkisian, tweeted some positive thoughts about USC:

I would like to thank everyone for their huge outpouring of support and well wishes. This is a very difficult time for my family and me. I am facing these challenges the best I can and your support helps immensely. I wish my Trojans the best against Notre Dame and for the remainder of the season. No one will be cheering them on more than me. Fight On!

The Week in Schadenfreude deals with a couple of newcomers to college football heartbreak, topped by Oklahoma.

Well that’s mighty polite. Worried about how the College Football Playoff will shake out with so many undefeated teams? It shouldn’t take long to sort out, starting this weekend.

Don’t be that guy. The old saying is that you never want to follow up the legend, be that legend to a college football coach, head of a major religion or host of a late-night comedy show.

You’re beautiful, it’s true. Ryan Nanni has seen a lot of things, but nothing quite like last week’s BC-Wake Forest game.

SO MUCH FOOTBALL: the Solid Verbal has its weekend preview ready to go.

Don’t forget to brush up on all the Week 7 games with all of the advanced stat profiles right here.

Do or die in the SEC? The week’s action starts Thursday with a shockingly crucial SEC matchup between Auburn and Kentucky. The Tigers’ season is on the brink of disaster, while the Wildcats have a chance to actually make some noise in the SEC East.

What they’ve been waiting for. LSU fans love their night games, and they have a pretty special one this weekend with top-10 Florida coming in. The Gators will be without defensive back Deiondre Porter, suspended indefinitely after a violent incident involving his girlfriend.

TAILGATE. Good Bull Hunting is getting ready for Alabama-Texas A&M with its hilarious, weekly graphical preview.

Games still get played. Head coach or no head coach, USC and Notre Dame are still going to play this weekend. One Foot Down breaks down the matchup.

Shattered dreams. Michigan has a chance to end the dreams of Michigan State.

Hey, I remember him! Ohio State wants to get Braxton Miller back into a heavy role against Penn State.

Goodnight sweet prince. Well, that’s one way to tell Steve Spurrier goodbye.
