It’s Michigan vs. Michigan State week, and it’s one of the most hotly anticipated battles for the Paul Bunyan Trophy in recent years.
It appears the Michigan-Michigan State vandalism war now includes Magic Johnson’s statue
The Michigan-Michigan State spray paint war continues!

Emotions are running so high that the Magic Johnson statue on Michigan State’s campus has been vandalized with Michigan’s maize colors.
So disrespectful. pic.twitter.com/zkraUAsfxu

— EP (@EricPlatte) October 15, 2015 The two schools have something of a history spray painting various things on each other’s campus. A dental frat (!) spray painted the Spartan statue maize and blue earlier this year.
It could all be payback for last year, when Michigan's block M was painted green and The Rock in Ann Arbor was painted green and white.
