Notre Dame-Clemson expected to start as scheduled despite Hurricane Joaquin
Two Big Ten games have already changed kickoff times due to Hurricane Joaquin.

Clemson Athletics officials met this morning and confirmed our ability to operate the game tomorrow, and as of 9:30 a.m., still feel confident in the resources needed. We spoke with Highway Patrol and Campus Police this morning and confirmed their manpower will be available. Facilities has confirmed power, plumbing and operations are still good to go. Playing surface is still good.
Heavy rain is expected Saturday in Clemson, with severe flood warnings and winds up to 15 to 25 miles per hour.

Clemson has also encouraged fans to consider carpooling due to limited space in grass lots, and says there have been power outages on campus (but do not expect them to impact the game). Clemson has “decreased all power usage throughout the stadium” and does not appear to expect any problems Saturday.
College Gameday will be visiting Clemson for the game, and the ESPN program is also expected to continue as planned in the afternoon. Clemson-Notre Dame is the marquee game on Saturday night’s schedule, and will be shown on ABC. The winner of the game will likely be a Playoff contender, albeit a flawed one.
A pair of Big Ten games had their starting times changed as a result of the expected inclement weather. Nebraska at Illinois was moved from 3:30 p.m. ET to 4 p.m. ET, while No. 22 Michigan at Maryland was bumped from 8 p.m. ET all the way up to noon ET.
