On Wednesday we wrote about how James Madison truly deserved to host College GameDay. Thursday, their fans proved it by turning out in thousands for a huge party ... FOR THE DANG BUS ARRIVING IN TOWN:
James Madison had more fans greeting the ‘College GameDay’ bus than some schools do at actual ‘College GameDay’
This is going to be great.

All this for a bus pulling into town. Saturday gon’ be wild. (https://t.co/7FEIM1feCY)#jmu #GetUp4GameDay pic.twitter.com/Jf3kt7aUXv
— Ryan Hudson (@ry_hudson) October 23, 2015 This was the crowd just to welcome Bobby & the @CollegeGameDay bus. Saturday is gonna be insane! (pic: @JMUSports) pic.twitter.com/7Q1YxPPVzr
— Sam Ponder (@sam_ponder) October 23, 2015 A little tease of the bus arriving on ESPN tonight. #GoDukes #LetsDoGameDay pic.twitter.com/z20LEwFbtK
— JMU Football (@JMUFootball) October 23, 2015 It would've been cool if JMU fans just turned out for the show itself. THIS IS 40 HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW. It wasn't for TV: it was just a freakin' bus showing up.
This is why it’s neat when GameDay goes to schools that aren’t traditional football powerhouses. (Well, JMU has always been a bit of an FCS powerhouse, but, you know what I mean.) Big schools treat GameDay like a big week. Small schools treat GameDay LIKE THE MOST IMPORTANT WEEK OF ALL TIME. The crowd on Saturday should be amazing.
