The ninth-ranked Florida State Seminoles (6-0, 4-0 in the ACC) continue their jaunt through their conference opponents, before the looming showdown with Clemson, with a trip to Bobby Dodd Stadium to take on their opponents from last season’s conference title game: the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (2-5, 0-4 in conference).
How to watch Florida State vs. Georgia Tech on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
A rematch of last year’s ACC Championship Game in Atlanta.
Tech has been one of the biggest disappointments in college football this season. They’ve lost five straight, including brutal losses to Notre Dame, Duke and Clemson. According to S&P+ projection, Paul Johnson’s team hasn’t performed at even 60 percent of their potential since week two. And what’s more, they don’t project win that many more of their remaining games. A preseason top-25 season might end in missing a bowl game.
As for the Seminoles, a 6-0 start has featured some dynamic performances from running back Dalvin Cook and steady improvement from Notre Dame transfer quarterback Everett Golson. FSU appears to be hitting their stride, and are set up to cruise through the back half of their schedule, save for the big date with top-10 Clemson in two weeks, and the season-ending rivalry game with Florida.
Although the Tech triple-option attack can always give a defense issues with only a week to prep. Last season, the 'Noles held off GT 37-35 in the ACC Championship.

Three big things to know
1. Dalvin Cook
Florida State’s star back is the most explosive in the country, and if you haven’t had the chance to see him play you may not want to miss it. His 955 rushing yards at the midseason point are well on pace to break the Florida State season record. Meanwhile, the Georgia Tech defense is last in the ACC in both yards per carry and rushing touchdowns allowed.
2. Red zone defense
Georgia Tech’s offense hasn’t been able to truly get on track ever since their blazing start to the season, but one thing they do very well is finish drives. They rank 7th in the country in points per trip inside the 40. Florida State’s defense, meanwhile, despite a solid S&P+ ranking of 23, drops to 96th nationally when the opponents cross the 40. So if Georgia Tech can find a way to move the ball, they should be able to get some points.
3. Weakness on weakness
The Tech passing game is ... a thing that exists to some degree. Which is no real surprise for an option offense. That said, the Seminole secondary has allowed 712 passing yards and 6 touchdowns against one interception in the last two games. There's a chance that Justin Thomas might have some open receivers down the field.
