Entering Saturday, Bowling Green wide receiver Roger Lewis was just off the pace being set by dark-horse Heisman candidates Josh Doctson of TCU and Corey Coleman of Baylor. But because he plays for the Falcons, who have quietly assembled one of the nation's best offenses under former Baylor assistant Dino Babers, he's been far from a household name this year.
Bowling Green WR’s sweet, one-handed TD wasn’t even his most impressive of the game
One of the nation’s best players you haven’t heard of will probably be better-known after this.
His two incredible touchdown catches against Kent State on this Saturday may change that.
First, Lewis plucked a ball both out of a defender’s arms and off his facemask, then raced to paydirt.
Then Lewis made the sort of one-handed catch that deserves the Odell Beckham, Jr. comparisons it will inevitably receive.

— Jordan Strack (@JordanStrack) October 24, 2015 Hilariously, Lewis isn't the best Heisman candidate on his own team — that's quarterback Matt Johnson, who could threaten some records of his own — and he didn't even lead the Falcons in receiving on this Saturday, hauling in four catches for 102 yards and those two touchdowns while Ronnie Moore had seven catches for 151 yards and two scores of his own.
But you might remember Lewis’s name. Making as fine a pair of catches as any player in college football has all year in one half would seem remarkable.
