The 13th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (3-1, 0-1 in conference) hit the road or their second monumental SEC tilt when they travel to Sanford Stadium to take on the No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0).
How to watch Alabama vs. Georgia on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
The Tide roll into Athens for a big matchup between the hedges.
It seems odd to talk about desperation with the Tide, but an 0-2 hole in conference play is a hole that Nick Saban's team definitely wants to avoid. The quarterback position seems settled for now with Jacob Coker, but the offense still hasn't found a consistent rhythm, and that's a concern against a Georgia defense that's allowing just 13.5 points per game. Star linebackers Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins pace the Dawgs with a combined 46 tackles and 10 tackles for loss through four games.
Alabama’s defense leads the country in S&P+, but the secondary has given up big yardage versus the Tide’s other two power conference opponents, with 228 yards and 341 allowed to Wisconsin and Ole Miss, respectively, allowing five touchdown passes combined in those two games. Georgia’s Greyson Lambert is riding one heck of a hot streak through his last two games.
Of course, that's to say nothing of that Nick Chubb fella. He's pretty good, if you haven't heard.

Three big things to know
1. Signature moment?
LSU’s Leonard Fournette has sucked up a lot of the Heisman Trophy oxygen with three huge games against Power-Five opponents. Chubb has been nearly as impressive, but Saturday gives him a real opportunity for a signature moment against Bama’s run defense, which has yet to allow any opponent to crack the century mark on the ground. Chubb averaged 150 yards per game versus ranked teams as a freshman last season, at 6.3 yards per carry. A 100-yard performance would also break Georgia’s school record for consecutive games over that mark. You know, set by the school’s last Heisman winner.
2. Hot as hot can get
There may be no quarterback in the country on a bigger hot streak than Georgia’s UVA transfer. Lambert followed up an NCAA-record 24-of-25 versus South Carolina with 9 of 10 completions against Southern University. That makes Lambert an astounding 33 for his last 35 passes, for 476 yards with five touchdowns. If the Tide allow Georgia to push the ball down the field with the success Ole Miss had two weeks ago, it will be that much harder to handle Chubb.
3. Dang ball, etc ...
Lane Kiffin may want to consider feeding his own big running back a little something extra. Derrick Henry has been impressive through four games with 422 yards and eight touchdowns at 6.3 yards per carry, but his season high is just 23 carries against Ole Miss. Alabama's quarterbacks rank 10th in the SEC with a collective passer rating of 124.06, so the 240-pound Henry certainly seems like the better option at the moment.
