Indiana’s upset bid of Ohio State was thwarted by this disastrous final play

So close, yet so far.

Indiana played a heck of a game against No. 1 Ohio State. Starting QB Nate Sudfeld got hurt. Starting RB Jordan Howard got hurt. And yet, they were a play away from taking the defending national champs to overtime.

Unfortunately, this was that play:

The Hoosiers had four shots at a game-tying touchdown, but when this ball fell short with the clock at triple zeroes, Indiana lost, 34-27.

Backup QB Zander Diamont, who ran for a 79-yard TD earlier in the game, was disappointed:

The Buckeyes remain undefeated, but they haven’t looked unbeatable.
