Injuries have been a bit of a problem for Kansas State this season, particularly at quarterback. Starter Joe Hubener took a nasty hit against Oklahoma State last weekend that took him out of the game. And then, so did backup Kody Cook. Hubener returned to the game, which may not have been the best idea, but he has reportedly passed the program’s concussion protocol to play this week against TCU.
Kansas State is so low on healthy QBs, 300-pound linemen are hoping for their shot
Because Bill Snyder is going ALL IN on winning the Piesman Trophy.

But with Cook’s injury, and Hubener vulnerable, backup quarterback is still a question mark. Walk-on Zach Davidson is the most likely answer, but should he get hurt, well ... Bill Snyder will rig up something:
Bill Snyder on next emergency quarterback: "We've got Will Geary back there now," he joked. "It's slim pickings."
— Ken Corbitt (@KenCorbitt) October 6, 2015 Will Geary is not a quarterback. He’s a 6-foot, 297-pound sophomore defensive tackle.
Dalton Risner also volunteered to play QB, just in case Will Geary doesn't pan out.
— Kellis Robinett (@KellisRobinett) October 6, 2015 Risner is a 6-5, 300-pound freshman offensive tackle.
Look, Bill Snyder will duct-tape this house back together if he has to. Weather’s about to turn, after all.
