Entering the third quarter in Clemson down 21-3, Notre Dame didn’t go down without a fight. The team clawed back into the game and even scored a touchdown with seven seconds left to earn a chance to tie on a two-point conversion. The conversion fell short though, and the Fighting Irish left South Carolina with a 24-22 loss.
The fourth quarter effort on the road could serve as a valuable experience for sophomore quarterback DeShone Kizer to use moving forward. Notre Dame returns home where it is 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS in its last three October games per the OddsShark College Football Database.

While the Midshipmen have certainly passed the eye-test thus far, the team will face its toughest opponent of the season this week at Notre Dame. Navy is 0-4 SU in its last for games against Notre Dame.
Saturday’s total is currently set at 54.5 points. The total has gone OVER in each of the last five games between Navy and Notre Dame.
While this game will be the focal point of Navy’s season, it is just another tough game for Notre Dame coming off the Clemson loss and going up against USC next week.
