Rex Ryan in a Clemson helmet will make you want to become a Tiger

“If you’re a parent out there and you’ve got one of the best kids in the country, and want the complete package ... take your kid to Clemson.”

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan wore a Clemson helmet to his press conference Tuesday, using most of the time to talk about the Tigers. Ryan’s son, Seth Ryan, is a wide receiver and holder on the team, and the coach appears to be quite a big fan of Dabo Swinney’s program.

This was fun, and also a stark reminder that we missed out on Tony Dungy wearing various Oregon helmets while his son Eric was on the Ducks.

Rex’s full remarks on the Tigers:

Because there’s nothing to talk about and you can only print what I say, I think I’d like to focus on Clemson. For some reason it just popped into my head about Clemson. I think they’re the No. 1 team in the country.

If you’re a parent out there and you’ve got one of the best kids in the country, and want the complete package: academics, not so much with my kid, but academics, he’s got to be a great player, all that stuff, you want to be coached by the best coaching staff in college football, you want to have success in the classroom as well as the playing field, take your kid to Clemson. I think that goes without saying.

They’ve got a Heisman candidate at quarterback who’s a true sophomore, they’ve got a lot of great freshmen playing, No. 1 team in the country, got arguably the best holder in the country. So a lot of great things, a lot of positive things for Clemson. Alright with that, I guess pretty much done.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was asked about the press conference at his own media availability Tuesday, and expressed his appreciation for the Tiger love.
